Using ChordAXE in FL Studio

Control ChordAXE with patterns using the piano roll. Use lower MIDI notes to control chord changes, then use upper notes to break those chords up rhythmically. Clone patterns and vary them for different expressions of a repeated chord pattern. SETUP FOR FL INSTRUMENTS: FLEX, SYTRUS, HARMOR... • Add a Patcher to the channel rack to make ChordAXE + Flex work as a single instrument • Drag ChordAXE and Flex into the Patcher • Connect MIDI in from FL Studio to ChordAXE, then from ChordAXE to Flex • Connect Audio out from Flex to FL Studio • Make sure the Patcher has the 2 MIDI and 1 Audio connection shown above—no others! • Open the ChordAXE plugin Settings and set the MIDI Output port to any number (not •••) • Flex will only source MIDI from ChordAXE if its MIDI Output port is set to a number (not •••) • Use the piano roll to control chord changes, and express them with rhythmic patterns SETUP FOR NON-FL INSTRUMENTS: SERUM, KONTAKT, VITAL... • Drag ChordAXE and your instrument to the Channel Rack on separate channels • Open the ChordAXE plugin Settings and set the MIDI Output port to any number (not •••) • Open the instrument plugin Settings and set the MIDI Input port to the same number • Use the ChordAXE piano roll to control chord changes, and express them with rhythmic patterns • Then use the instrument piano roll to record the notes from ChordAXE which are driving the instrument 😎
